The Palace Bar

The Palace Bar is a lovely venue to enjoy a social drink with friends. It is a short walk away from The Anchor Guesthouse.

The Palace Bar is one of very few Pubs in Dublin which remains unaltered & un-restored.  It pretends to be nothing other than The Palace Bar. It is a very  rare and interesting location for this reason alone, and the service is second to none!

You will hear no musician's at work in The Palace Bar. It is less noisy for this reason. It is good a place to buy some pints & indulge in conversation, without having to talk loudly or shout to be heard. The bar rooms are perfectly decorated & interesting. The furnishings are practical, old world, robust, & also perfect for The Palace Bar.

The Palace Bar is a lovely place to relax, have a pint or two, to enjoy conversation,  to discuss the  toil's of the week, & to plan future strategies.

The "Snug" is situated inside the front door, on the right side, before reaching the  Bar serving area.  The "Snug" facility is no longer provided for customers in modern Pubs.  Pull open the door, & slip in here with your friends for your private tipple, if it is empty & available.
