Dublin Writers Museum

The Writers Museum is about 1 km walk from The Anchor Guesthouse. It is perhaps a good plan to also visit  The Hugh Lane Gallery (next door) & The Garden of Remembrance, across the street, if a visit to The Writers Museum is planned. The James Joyce Centre may also be worth a visit, as it is nearby.

The Writers Museum is a shrine to Irish Literature. Irish Literature from its earliest form up to and including writers such as Shaw, Joyce, Wilde, & Yeats are remembered at The Writers Museum.

The Writers Museum does not display any information or works of lrish Writers who are alive, regardless of how brilliantly that they have written so far in their career as a writer.

The Writers Museum contains many valuable first editions of famous Irish Writers. There are many busts of the writers who are remembered.

The Writers Museum displays some curious belongings of famous Irish Writers.

A restaurant is situated in the Basement. Have a snack here & then visit The Garden of Remembrance across the Street, where all who gave their lives for Irish Freedom are remembered.
