The Central Bus Station - Bus Aras. Bus Aras is a modern structure, designed by Michael Scott. Building works commenced 1944, were only completed in 1953. The building sits adjacent to Gandon's classic Custom House, which makes Bus Aras the less attractive of the 2 structures to behold. The Anchor Guesthouse is situated no more than 2 mins walk from the Central Bus Station. Our Guesthouse is the 2nd Building on the left, after walking under the Loopline Bridge, from the Central Bus Station. Convenient Airport & Dublin Port Shuttle Bus services operate from BusAras. Use the purple links below for details of these services, & how to easily get to our front door by use of these services. |

Provincial Bus services. Bus Eireann operate Bus services from Bus Aras to most towns & Cities in Ireland. Ulsterbus operate services to Northern Ireland. Most services are frequent & good value for money, especially when a "return" two way ticket is purchased. The LUAS Tram: This service is available at both Store Street & Abbey Street. It is a most convenient & frequent service. This service provides great value to visit city centre sites such as Guinness Brewery, Kilmainham Gaol, & The National Museum at Collins Barracks. The LUAS will soon operate services to The O2 Arena. |
