This Guesthouse is situated right in the city centre of Dublin and is within easy walking distance of most city central attractions, including:  Trinity College, Dublin Castle, James Joyce Centre, The Writer's & other Museums, Temple Bar, The 1759 Guinness Brewery, Kilmainham Gaol, The O2, Croke Park, The Abbey, Peacock, & Gate Theatres, city central Shops, Cafe's Restaurant's, River Taxis, & Open top Bus Tours, so bring comfortable walking shoes & enjoy this wonderful convenient city central location! Chill out in the evenings with some Irish Craic in the many local nearby Pubs.

  • Get to The Anchor Guesthouse directly from Dublin Airport for as little as €2.20!  Take the 41 Bus to its last stop on Abbey Street, in Dublin City Centre. This stop is 2 minutes walk from our door! Just make sure the Bus goes all the way to Abbey Street, and stay on it until the "last stop". Check these details with the Driver, to avoid mistakes. Try to travel light, as heavy baggage storage is not available on this regular Dublin City Commuter bus service. Buy a return ticket for best value. The 41 bus stop back to the Airport is directly outside our front door, which is most convenient & is best value for your money.

  • The Central Bus Station is a minutes walk from The Anchor Guesthouse.  An Express Shuttle Bus service operates to and from Dublin Airport & The Central Bus Station typically every 20 minutes daily. It is known as "Airlink" & is numbered "747". The price is €6.00. Buy a return ticket for better value.  Get off at The Central Bus Station, which is the second stop. Check with your driver, to avoid mistakes.

  • Most Dublin city Attractions are nearby, & can be best accessed on foot from The Anchor Guesthouse. Bring the correct clothing & enjoy Dublin at a walking pace from The Anchor Guesthouse. Take a look at our Dublin Guide for some walking trails. Use the nearby open top Tour Busses, to see it all if your time with us will be short. We can reserve your Open top bus Tour Tickets.

  • The newly rebuilt "O2 Point Depot" is but a stroll downstream, past Gandon's Custom's House, along the Liffey's lovely north Quay. The "O2 Point Depot" is situated right beside the Liffey's North Quay, & is now even more difficult to miss!. Your visit to & from The O2 from The Anchor Guesthouse can be made on foot. 

  • All of our Guest bedrooms are fully ensuite with private WC & shower, direct dial telephone, 12 Channel Sat Television, with local radio. Baggage storage is always available for early arrivals & late evening departures.  

  • Some secure car parking spaces are available with us, but must be reserved in advance, if needed.

  • We have a FREE WIFI Hotspot for your Laptop in our Guest Sitting Room.
